The futuristically innovative Layar is being marketed as the world's first mobile augemented reality browser. What, you will ask, is an augmented reality browser? Basically it works like this: you point your phone at things in the street, say a house, hotel, or bar, and Layar will display real-time information about them, for example if you point it at a hotel it will say how many meters away is it, the price of a room there, whether there is a room available, etc. To get the idea you just need to watch the short demo video after the jump:
